Funding and Financing

There are dedicated funding and incentive programs at all levels of government designed to support economic development and business growth in Timmins and Northern Ontario.  Our team can help you find programs, contacts and services that meet your needs.

The City of Timmins offers municipal incentive programs through the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) which can including grants and tax rebates in designated areas.  Speak to our team about accessing specific CIP programming.

The Province of Ontario has dedicated organizations that support economic development and business growth.  Organizations like the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) offers programs to assist entrepreneurs and business owners with start-up and expansion costs.

The Federal government has dedicated organizations that support economic development and business growth.  Organizations like FedNor offer funding and financing to assist entrepreneurs and business owners with innovation, research and development and growth.

Entrepreneurs and business owners occasionally have to access debt financing to cover the cost of business startup or expansion.  Our team can help you apply for debt financing from banks and credit unions.

The Business Enterprise Centre can help you explore alternative sources of financing to support your business.  Alternatives can include raising capital through investment from other individuals or organizations.  Our team can help identify and access these alternative sources of financing opportunities.
